Bloomsday 2018

Every year literature lovers travel to Dublin to take the James Joyce stroll through the heart of Dublin. Bloomsday is centred around James Joyce’s most famous book “Ulysses” which details what happens to Leopold Bloom over the course of the 16th of June, 1904. Writing enthusiasts can visit James Joyce’s birthplace, and the walk in the footsteps of Leopold Bloom, the famous main character of Ulysses, through the city. Visitors can also visit renowned locations like Finn’s Hotel where James Joyce met his love Nora Barnacle. There are plenty of James Joyce locations to visit around the city, including The National Wax Museum Plus. This year the Museum on Westmoreland Street is planning something a little special for Joyce Fans. On Bloomsday we’re letting our Blooming Waxwork out amongst the people. On your stroll by The Museum, catch James Joyce out and about from 12pm-3pm (Weather Permitting| We live in Ireland and he is a waxwork so that can get a little tricky…) Once you’re finished your stroll throughout the city we’re also offering a special 20% discounted entrance to the National Wax Museum Plus.
